TaurusBeats aka Taurus M. James
When I started making sample flip beats (beats with samples from other artists), it was never my intention to steal from the artists I sampled from. In fact, I thought of the derivative works I created as my personal tributes to the artists. Regardless of what I thought, I am convinced that my actions, specifically in posting the derivative works here on TaurusBeats.com with a price to download, were wrong.
Therefore, all beats, instrumentals, tracks, music, songs, (or whatever you want to call them) that contain samples from other artists will be downloadable at no charge. Also, derivative works that contain samples will not be available for licensing.
I cannot give you permission to use a derivative work that I have created, with a sample that I do not own, in your production. However, I will make the beats/music available for licensing WITHOUT the samples.
I finally made it to my new home in Alexandria, Virginia, after taking the scenic route through South Carolina and North Carolina to visit family. I just moved into my new home and setup my computer and internet connection. Enough time to post this message and work on a couple of website enhancements.
The home studio is not up and running just yet, but it will be by the weekend - probably after I go see all of my old classmates at my 20-year high school reunion.
Yeah, I'm that old, but blessed to look young.
My apologies to all of you who have contacted me over the last couple of days. I was swamped with coordinating the delivery of my household goods and the initial setup of cable, internet, phone, gas, electric, etc.
Over the next few weeks I will be travelling the country before I move back to Alexandria, Virginia. So, I won't be posting any new tracks or videos for awhile - probably until I get to my new house in mid-July.
Keep coming back here to TAURUSBEATS.COM for updates and new postings in the "NOTES" section.
Grace and Peace!
I once read a definition of the word "inspirational" as being:
imparting a divine influence on the mind and soul
This music that I create has been described as "inspirational" by many listeners from around the world. I am truly blessed and humbled when I read these emails and comments from listeners.
I am blessed because of the fact that people I have never met, some on the other side of the globe, spend their most precious resource (time) listening to this "Moody instruMental Music". I am also blessed because listeners go even further to spend more time to express how much they enjoy this music.
I am humbled because I know that I am not able to "impart a divine influence on the mind and soul" of anyone. Musically, I'm not able to "perform" what I "create". (I'm not even formally "trained" or "studied" in music.)
These comments remind me of my inspiration, who is the only one who can "impart a divine influence on the mind and soul" - Jesus Christ.
All glory is His alone.
It says "Does He Know You". You see, many people claim to know Jesus but the important question is, does He know you?
If you go to the White House and stand outside the gate and tell the guard that you know the president, he probably won't let you in. But if the President comes out and says he knows you, they will let you in. That is the same thing the Bible says about Judgment Day.
"Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. (Matt 7:21) The will of my Father is that none would perish and all would come to repentance. That is why God provided a way for us to be forgiven.
He sent His Son, Jesus, to come and die in our place, on the cross, for our sins. He then rose from the grave defeating death.
God (Acts 17:31) commands us to repent (to turn from sin) and to place our faith in Jesus, who alone is able to save us (Acts 4:12). That is the only way to be sure that He knows you on Judgment Day.
Ask yourself, "When I die, where will I go? What if there is a heaven and a hell? If I have to stand before God after my death, and He was to judge me by the Ten Commandments; would I be innocent or guilty?"
If you have ever stolen anything or if you have ever told just one lie (no matter how small), you are guilty of breaking the 8th and 9th commandments. If you have ever, even just once, looked with lust, you have violated the 7th commandment, according to Jesus. More than that, the Bible points out "whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all." (James 2:10)
The Bible says in Revelation 21:8 and 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 that "all liars shall have their part in the Lake of Fire". It also says that "no thief, fornicator or adulterer will inherit the Kingdom of God". The price for your violations must be paid and God has declared death as the penalty (Romans 6:23).
As a lawbreaker, you are guilty and deserve Hell for eternity. But God doesn't want anyone to go to Hell and has provided a way for you to be forgiven. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to come and die in your place on the cross for your violations so that your debt could be paid. He then rose from the grave defeating death.
God (Acts 17:31) commands you to repent (to turn from all known lawbreaking and turn to God) and place your trust in Jesus Christ who alone is able to save you from God's wrath (Acts 4:12).

I've been a fan of Xzibit since I copped his "Paparazzi" cassette single back in 1996, when I was finishing college at UCCS.
I grew up in Hip-Hop and the East Coast style of flowing was what I grew to love. Although he's from the West, Xzibit's flow captivated me and his words were not only fierce but heartfelt as well. I found Xzibit to be far a superior artist in that time because he reminded me of a field commander - not just giving orders, but leading in the fight.
This performance of "Thank You" was flawless and gripping! Seeing X as a man on the stage telling his fans "Thank You" in his own way was powerful and I could not remember ever seeing a performance like it.
Just like when I first saw that Paparazzi video with X on the beach with a stringed orchestra backing him, it was so good to see X do it again 10 years later.
Xzibit influenced my style when I used to rap as "Kid Kikit", and his music still influences me today. I started making "Orchestrated Hip-Hop" in 2001 because it's in me. "Thank You" to Xzibit for helping bring it out.
Here's my drummer bio for my band, The Upper Room: A Gospel Jazz Band.
How To RAP: It Aint WHAT You Say, It's HOW You Say It!
In the arena of commercial rap, it's not about WHAT you say anymore. Now, it's about HOW you say the same things that are already being said.
Just who is this "Kid Kikit" character anyway?
