Lovers Soul

Cinematic Piano Moody Instrumental Music Interpolation of Lovers

This is Moody instruMental Music from the Heartwashed collection. Heartwashed is also known as Heartwashed: Exodus to Genesis. This collection of Moody instruMental Music contains my attempts at making avant-garde music. (That sounds cool - avant-garde...oooooh.) Avant-garde is defined as:

"new and unusual or experimental ideas, especially in the arts, or the people introducing them."

Hey, I'm just making music as it comes to me. This stuff tends to be more "in-your-face" and rough, but the emotions are heavy and a bit raw. The instruments attack hard, but the music allows the feelings to run deep. I think I have some good mood changes in this collection.

About my notes: It's always funny writing out notes to myself about this Moody instruMental Music that I make. It's even funnier when I read what I write years later. These notes aren't meant to make a whole lot of sense. I'm just trying to capture something about the music at the time that I create it.

By My Hand

By My Hand is a reflective, sad, introspective and somewhat dramatic music piece I made that can be used as a film music for those ominous and eerie scenes. I feature the piano in this one with a repeating theme of sad introspection because I wanted to express the questioning sorrow I feel at times when death takes someone close. I repeat the theme over a slow and steady backdrop of minimal drums and a changing, looping synth and guitar. The ominous orchestra section darkens the mood of the track, but trumpets later turn the questioning feel into an exclamation.

Instruments: piano (featured), upright bass, drums, strings section, orchestra, trumpets section, horns, cellos

Original Composition: This is one of my original compositions. I am playing (or programming) all of the instruments you hear. I used Propellerhead Reason, my computer, and my Yamaha DJX keyboard to produce this track.

Genre: Piano Music, DownTempo, Avant-garde

Mood(s): Somber, Dramatic, sad

Tempo: Slow, Very Slow

I made this one with my mind focused on grieving. I dedicate this one in loving memory of my uncle, Joseph Lockett.

Exodus

Exodus is a fast-paced, driving, drum and percussion-led track with a piano and violin theme. This abstract, repetitive, robotic, mechanical, and somewhat dramatic music piece can be used for commercials, advertisements, or film music for those scenes showing chasing or running, like a car chase.

I pound out the piano theme that is also shared with the violin to express chaos or trouble as the reason for fleeing or running. I added a breakdown and build-up in the track to express the change in emotions. I have the screaming trumpets accent the fear and urgency of the chase. I also have an underlying orchestral string section for the emotional breakdown, which sounds a little eerie and dark, but adds a deeper feel to the track.

Instruments: piano (featured), violin (featured), upright bass, drums, strings section, orchestra, horns, trumpets, synth

Original Composition: This is one of my original compositions. I am playing (or programming) all of the instruments you hear. I used Propellerhead Reason, my computer, and my Yamaha DJX keyboard to produce this track.

Genre: Piano Music, Avant-garde

Mood(s): Dramatic, Urgent

Tempo: Very Fast, Fast 140 BPM

Exodus is the second song that I finished for the Heartwashed CD collection. More edge, more fire, more of my signature sound and edgy piano music - that's what you'll find in Exodus.

Melancholy

I was experimenting with the idea of more of a dialog between musical instruments. The violin and piano move around each other in a way to give this piece a chill factor. Plus the low strings give the haunting/somber feel. All of this over a New York style beat.
