New music sample from the Messiah collection
Mary Did You Know has become a favorite of mine since the first time I heard Sis. Mikol Wilburn sing it in Utah.
This is my interpretation of the song.

RnB Hip Hop Beat, Sample Flip, Story Rap
Common's classic Hip-Hop track, "I Used To Love Her", is still one of the best Hip-Hop tracks ever!
Here's my sample flip beat made from that famous George Benson sample.
In this sample flip beat, the actual sample slips are primarily highlighted in the verses. The choppy rearrangement of the guitar sample slices is intentional and goes well with the bounce in this laid-back beat. I added string instrumentation in the later parts of the beat for emphasis.
I wanted to keep some of the sample familiar, but I didn't want this to be just another re-ue of the sample the way it is in Common's track.
I use Propellerhead Reason to make sample flip beats - sample flipping. This is How I Reason - #howireason.
How To Make Beats Using Reason MPD32 Oxygen8 - Sample Flip Instrumental Beat - The Changing
Track with a little West Coast flavor to it. No sample flip this time. This track is also available with my piano improvisations.
This is the title track for the collection. I composed it during my cross-country trip from Los Angeles, CA to Alexandria, VA.
CA2VA Moody Instrumental Music by TaurusBeats in Propellerhead Reason
New music sample from the Heartwashed CD collection
This Cross is a piece that focuses on the intensity of emotions involved when following Christ in a faith walk.
More space is used in the piano solos, which are intentionally anti-climactic.
The high violin part provides an antagonistic feel while the contrasting, low cellos give the foreboding element.
I would really love to have Nuttin But Stringz and Miri Ben-Ari do this song. It would be so awesome to have true violinists do this song! Maybe one day.

Genesis takes me back to the beginning - the start - and brings to my mind the thoughts and feelings that come with starting over. The violin is the main voice in this song with a running piano melody throughout as the backdrop.
The violin laments while the piano keeps the track in motion. Trumpets provide accents and exclamations of determination while the angelic vocals try and provide a comfort to the deep hurt expressed by the violin melody.
