Like It: The "No-Sample" Version
I didn't just remove the sample.
A Bob James Dedication
For Week #40, the Weekly Homework Podcast (WHP) took a special turn: a Bob James dedication. Inspired by the incredible submissions from Week #2 of 2013, where CMA members reimagined his iconic track Nautilus, this year's challenge was even broader. Members could pick any Bob James track, sample it, and build around it with their own unique touch.
The result? A diverse and creative collection of beats that pay homage to the legendary jazz musician while showcasing the talents of the CMA community. It was incredible to see how everyone stood up and represented, making this dedication show a standout moment for CMA.
Behind the Beat
Although I use Propellerhead Reason for my creations, the tips and techniques I share in my music and tutorials can be applied in any DAW. From sample flipping to beat layering, my approach is all about expressing emotion and crafting music that tells a story.

From Sample Flip to Stadalone Music
This is one of the sample flip beats in my latest Moody instruMental Music collection "Christ Beats" available for you to download here at TaurusBeats.com. I made this for the Computer Music Academy (CMA) Weekly Homework Assignment #41.
I'm using Propellerhead Reason 6.5 and the Yamaha DJX MIDI keyboard as a controller to trigger all instrument sounds in Reason. Be sure to check out my Reason Beat Making Video Tutorials, where I show you how to make Moody instruMental Music and sample flip beats.
