Lovers Do

Lovers Do is a romantic and somewhat dramatic music piece I made that can be used as a film music for those heart-felt scenes showing two people falling in love, or just enjoying an intimate time together. I feature the piano along with the violin in a bit of inteplay because I wanted to express the playful movement of two hearts as they approach in love with doftness and tenderness and care. I repeat the theme and include some "echo".partsbetween the teo instruments (piano and violin) tp wimulate a lovers call and response - a kind of agreement between two souls in a slow lovers dance. that's why I call the track Lovers Do, because there is a slow steady damce between two souls in agreement that makes very pretty music.

Instruments: piano (featured), violin (featured), upright bass, drums (light), strings section

Original Composition: This is one of my original compositions. I am playing (or programming) all of the instruments you hear. I used Propellerhead Reason, my computer, and my Yamaha DJX keyboard to produce this track.

Genre: Piano Music, DownTempo

Mood(s): Somber, Dramatic, Romantic

Diary

Okay, Diary is a break from the concept of this collection because it does not have the same beat or beat structure as other songs in the collection. This is one of those "spur-of-the-moment" tracks that I created after hearing the original by Alicia Keys. I just wanted to see if I could lay some of my own keys on the track.

Hey, if I don't do these experimental piano beats, I'll never find out what I can do.

The NNXT advanced sampler in Reason is packed woth features that allow you to manipulate samples in many ways. this is handy when sample flipping, especially when trying to control pitch and tempo of samples. Pitch controls in the NNXT also affect the tempo of samples and sample slices. Use this to your advantage when flipping a sample. What you discover may lead you into a totally different musical genre, just by changing the pitch and tempo of the sample slice.
