Do you make 'beats'? (for Hip-hop/Rap/R&B)

Yes!  I make beats for use in demos spanning various music genres, including Hip-hop, Rap and R&B.

Also, check out CMA Beats.

How much money do you charge to make beats?

What rights do I have with the purchase of a beat?

You receive a license (see licensing agreement).    I (Taurus M. James) retain the ownership copyright to the beat.  If an artist gets a record deal and wants to use my beat on their album, the label must renegotiate the proper terms with me.

How many reproductions does the license entitle?

You can use the beat on up to 1,000 copies of whatever you put it out on, whether it's CD, tape, vinyl, or whatever new technology gets invented.

I know what beats I want, so how do we make this happen?

I have more questions.  What should I do?
