I decided to make it a complete "piano music" song - but the raw beat is still available (without the piano and orchestration) and it sounds very different from this final version. it's amazing what a single chord can do to change an entire song! I keep having to remind people that I AM NOT A PIANIST! I'm a drummer, so I do tend to play the piano like a drum at times. :-)

After I made the raw beat with just the drum track and an obscure sample, I played a piano chord one day (2 months later) and the piano part was born! The bass and strings just evolved from that. This is the final version of the track i call, 'Mountains'. It's a reflective piece for me. "These mountains that I climb/ With valleys down below/..."

This is Orchestrated Hip-Hop at it's best!!

A new beat I'm working on for my Double K Beats collection. I'm working the final arrangement and tweaking some of the sounds.

Emcees, shoot me an email if you want to 'spit hot fire' on this one.

Thorns

This is one of my experimental piano/orchestrated tracks with more of a soulful sorrow that moves to a bit of brightness toward the end.

As much as they hurt, the thorns in my life remind me that I am still feeling.

Smooth James Smooth Jazz

My love for contemporary jazz and Smooth Jazz has grown a great deal over the years and I have started to think of it as "Grown-Man HipHop". Smooth James is my collection of jazzy, piano moody instrumental music and it isthe start of a different musical path for me.

We Can

I created this track on January 13, 2007, but I left it "on the shelf" because I didn't feel that it was complete. However, listening to it today, I was blown away at the simplicity - and it just fit my mood for the day. It's amazing how music can do that!

Dear Taurus,
I was searching on the internet to find out how I can possibly learn how to compose music. I write alot of lyrics but have the slightest clue on how to create music for them. Anyway I came across your website in the search engine and after listening to all, I mean every instrumental on here, I just had to tell you WOW!!! Your music is so heartfelt. Absolutely beautiful. And I must say very inspiring!!. Hopefully someday I can find a way to let myself be heard through music. Good Luck in all you do.

Sincerely Deena
