I'm working on getting my family settled in after making the big move from Los Angeles, California to Arlington, Virginia this summer. Although the move meant the tearing down of my home studio, I've still been able to make music (Praise God!).
My next CD release is already in the final phases of production. I'm calling this one, "CA2VA: Project Restoration" and it will have some nice Orchestrated Hip-Hop tracks for you all.
It was difficult to think of what to follow up my last CD with. "Heartwashed: Exodus to Genesis" was a very deep and stretching CD for me to put together because the music pulled from some very deep and hurtful experiences. I still say "Heartwashed" is my best work to date. However, "CA2VA" is already looking like a great collection.
"CA2VA" pulls from the cross-country trip my family took this summer. Yeah, we drove from Los Angeles, California, to Arlington, Virginia and saw some beautiful country. The road was nice to us and my 2-year-old daughter, Tamilyn, had a great time seeing the country for the first time.
The title track is a heartfelt piece that represents the 8-day cross-country trip. It's real smooth and laid back - great "riding" music.
So far, I have posted one single from the upcoming CD and that single is "Through The Storm" - a moody Hip-Hop track inspired by my friends and brothers in Christ, Team ELOHIM. You'll be hearing more about them real soon!
